You make sure he sees you checking your mirrors, then your blind spot, before fully opening the door and climbing down appropriately.
Common sense says get out of the passenger side. But they’re actually looking for you doing as Sam has said. Pete
cheers sam and pete
My mod 4 had the question how I would get in and out of the cab if it was parked on a busy main road…
So I stood at the front of the cab, told him how I would peek around the side of the cab to wait for a break in traffic so I could enter the cab safely, and then I walked around the side, opened the door and went through the handrail, steps, door closed securely, check mirrors routine… and then to get out, I checked mirrors to wait for a gap in traffic, checked blindspot, made sure mirror wouldn’t strike any pedestrians etc and got out of the cab using hand rails and steps, close the door securely and walk around the front of the vehicle onto where the pavement would be.

edit - before asking the question, he moved me over and had me stand at the front of the truck, and started the question with ‘I want you to imagine this scenario, and pretend like its real. You are parked at the side of a busy road…etc’ He also said he wanted me to use the drivers door.
so at this point I knew what question was coming as it was blatantly obvious…
good luck dude!
thanxs token m8t apprecate it , its good he told you what door he wanted you to use, cheers for advice m8t
Most examiners think it’s absolutely pointless, in fact mine pretty much hinted the answers to me in every question, it was easy peasy!
hope i get examnier somthin like you got sam feels like this last part test [mod 4] is the hardest part, or its just the amount of paper work i have for it to study with, diagrams, fire extiguser pics, and of course the qustions and answers
mod 4 is by far the easiest part, there’s only a few questions, and just study the hell out of the flair sheet, and when you do your training before the test, you’ll be ready to ace it.
