CPC mod 2 question

my lad failed his mod 2 by 1 question he was telling me some of the questions and 1 he said was about alcohol. Something about how long can you not drive after you have had a drink? He said that the question did not give a exact ammount of alcohol consumed?? Anyone familiar with this question and can give me an explanation to the answer.

I’m pretty sure its an hour for every unit of alcohol consumed… can’t remember where I read it… possibly a paper coaster in a pub…

Yes, that’s the general ‘rule’.

Then after the celebration drinks I had for passing my class 2 test last Friday, I should be fine to drive… maybe in October… lol

hi silky951 i failed my by 1 question 2wks ago but passed yestrday, i got a famlier question, but it asked… how long does alcohol stay in your system, it didnt ask me before i can drive though and give 4 answers, 24-48 hours and so on, hope this has helped

The following extract is taken from Page 143 of “Driving Goods Vehicles” the book recommended for passing this test

"Be aware that alcohol may remain in the
body for around 24-48 hours. Your
reactions may be reduced, and the effects
will still be evident the next morning so you
could fail a breath test. Your body tissues
actually need up to 48 hours to recover,
although your breath/blood alcohol levels
may appear normal after 24 hours."

The secret of passing the Mod 2 is to spend some time going through the book. It may well save you £30 for another test.
