cpc mod 2 &4

Am i right mod 2 is 30quid and modul 4 is 55 quid but do you have to pay more jus to hire a lorry is there anywhere near wigan i can do these

Yes the DSA charge you these amounts for the tests. Mod 2 has no extra charges (unless you fail). Mod 4 requires hire of a suitable vehicle from a trainer, and some trainers use 4t vans to make it easier to pass.

Unfortunately I’m not from up that way. But TRUK in Bolton isn’t too far away.

I recommend a smaller outfit such as paulslgvtraining.com/ ( there are others) who might be able to accomodate you during the practical road training of another trainee

That works by you meeting the instructor and current trainee at the test centre for your 30+ min mod 4 test and the other trainee takes a break - that keeps the cost right down

I would get training for the mod 4 test first unless you are very confident and knowledgable for what is required

We are based 5 Miles from the M6 junction 23 between Wigan and Leigh

Aswell as TRUK and Paul’s LGV there’s red rose. I got a quote from red rose for a complete DCPC package and it was around £250 (can’t remember exact amount), gives you a rough idea of costs. Just hiring a lorry for the test can be expensive.
