Its just an idea at the moment, but what do you experienced drivers think the going rate would be, to hire out your CPC National and CPC International licences.
VOSA expect you to spent 8 hours a week on a one-vehicle operation, and the minimum wage is £6.31 so 8 x 6.31 x 52 ÷ 12 = £218.74 a month. I have read in CM of TC’s who have suggested that anybody charging less than this can’t be doing their job properly, although I know some folk do.
Thanks H i was thinking around the £200 a month mark, so its good advice.
My old firm in Hertfordshire paid £100 per week for an external TM who only had to administer 2 vehicles and his involvement was minimal as I remember.
F-reds
Ok, i`ll accept that then F red, £100 a week, is better than £200 a month…sorry H gotta go, got some business to attend to

Think I’d go for the £200 per month = £50 per week…
We pay somewhere between the 2 figures, I think it works out at £10 per hour, but as the TM live some distance from our operating centre, we had to get a figure that covered his travelling expenses.
But to be honest I reckon that’s cheap for somebody to take on the responiblity, especially as external TM’s are now limited to how much they an do.
