Just done a day towards my CPC with Ideal driver training in Taunton ( idealdrivertraining.co.uk/)and fully recommend them
I’ve done three days now with three different companies, and these have been the best by far and also the cheapest at £66 all in (you have to book more than one day to get it at that price). Doing another day next month and my final day in May with them.
Small group (9), the two guys that run it are really nice, good clean comfortable facilities, donuts and biscuits at break time , kitchen with microwave, toaster and as much tea and coffee as you can drink
just thought I’d post this incase there is anyone in Somerset who needs CPC training. They are starting to get very busy though, which is why I booked my day in May today.
Always good if you find a good provider.
I did mine with EP Training and found them as ever to be very professorial in their approach.
Did it in 1 week in 2012 and just easier to do it that way.

IMHO, training provision is no different to drivers’ wages, house prices or the hourly rate charged by your local garage, because all are subject to market forces such as the amount of competition in the local area.
Maybe there are more providers around Newark than there are around Taunton…?
All the company’s that I found in Somerset are charging round about the £80 mark. There are some up near £100 per day! So in this area £66 is a bit of a bargain. I looked on line and sent out emails to lots of places and made phone calls as well, and £66 was the cheapest.
just done my last 7 hours today with these guys mark and pete quality people lovely relaxing day group of 4 of us , highly recommended to anyone in the area who needs dcpc !!!

And probably going to do 2 more with them.
Very relaxed and quite enjoyed both days. Top guys.
And they are cheap for this area.
I used Friendberry training for Adr.They use a hotel in Wivvy or the village hall at Stogumber.
Discount if live outside a certain radius.
Accomodation arranged in the area.
Could not fault them.

I’ve just done three days at Ideal training, Taunton, and I can endorse everything said above…
I have just finished my 5 days training with Ideal Driver Training in Taunton, as with the other posts I found both Peter and Mark very good. They have put together a relaxed but informative training environment which enables everyone to get involved if they wish without being intimidated by large groups. Tea, Coffee, Biscuits on tap and even cakes on our last day. Also at 66.00 per day, fully inclusive, very competitive within the local area.
