Hi Guys,
I was wondering if anyone could clear something up for me on Driver CPC.
I have recently put one of my drivers through a class C license. He has been driving C1 for a long time without taking a vocational license due to his age. When costing up and organising his training I included for him to take the driver CPC while doing his cat C.
It turns out he didn’t do the CPC and just did everything else required for his cat C license. I have rang the training provider and they assure me that he doesn’t need the CPC yet but I’m not so sure as my understanding is that any new vocational licenses require the CPC to be taken with it?
Anyone know what the actual rule is on this?

If he had C1 ( 7.5tonners) on his licence , ie passed his car test before January 1997, he will have obtained the CPC by acquired rights
Thanks for clearing this up. I understand now that CPC will be valid by aquired rights until 2014 for this driver with existing C1.
Cheers
