CPC for a newbie

Might be a simple one to clear up, so here goes.

I have C1 on my license (planning on C in the summer), but I’d like to do some agency work on 7.5 or van to save a little cash for the C training.

I understand that I need to do 5x 7hrs CPC in order to work for the agency, but am I ok doing the CPC before getting my provisional ■■

I’m guessing the DCPC is nothing to do with the license & I dont have to submit a provisional license number.

All the best
Steve.

You need to get LGV dcpc before doing any C1 or C work but you have a choice
2 tests for initial theory and practical
or
35 hours periodic attendance
Both get you the first 5 years dcpc

Thanks for the reply Rog.
Looking at the pricing, I might as well get the provisional & do the initial as I’ll need the provisional C for when I do my training.
Looking at the interweb, my nearest/soonest medical is mid Jan in Oxford.

If you’re planning to do cat C training you might be able to get some hours towards the 35 hours periodic training, in order to do that you will need to find a cat C training course that’s approved by JAUPT though.
