You need to get LGV dcpc before doing any C1 or C work but you have a choice
2 tests for initial theory and practical
or
35 hours periodic attendance
Both get you the first 5 years dcpc

Looking at the pricing, I might as well get the provisional & do the initial as I’ll need the provisional C for when I do my training.
Looking at the interweb, my nearest/soonest medical is mid Jan in Oxford.
If you’re planning to do cat C training you might be able to get some hours towards the 35 hours periodic training, in order to do that you will need to find a cat C training course that’s approved by JAUPT though.
