Could anyone out there give me a definitive answer as to wether or not a digitach drivers card can be used as id for the drivers cpc training sessions.I have been delivering drivers cpc and have been presented with digi cards on numerous occasions.They contain most of the same information as the prescribed forms of id which are-;
1] old style paper licence and passport
2]new style photo id licence and paper counterpart.
The only problems i can see are that the digicard does not show categories of vehcles that can be driven/dates etc and also no endorsements are shown.
They are both issued by the dvla.
I spoke to a person at jaupt ,but they could only reiterate what the prescribed forms of id where and could not offer any further help.

Have you rang the number which is in my signature below ?
I just opened a bank account and they asked for a utility bill and 2 pieces of ID. I had my driving licence and my digital card, but still had to go back to my car for my passport.
Another night I was in Ashford and the cash machine was out of order as usual, but Travelex were still open, they wanted a debit card and ID to issue cash, again they wouldn’t accept the digi card as it wasn’t on their prescribed list.
The daft thing is I could have paid for my beer and food with a debit card and no ID in the restaurant
