CPC course recomendations

I’m thinking of doing my CPC, not the driver CPC but the full qualification. Anyone recommend a good home study course or am I better looking at an intensive course at a training company or college? Any advice welcome.

The commercial motor was running “bite size” get your cpc this year - not sure what stage they are up to - but this may be a cheap way of seeing if your ready for home study.

I did my national with one provider - and they were hopeless if it had not been for the brother in law i would not have got through on the instruction given.

I did my international over 5 weeks with the RHA - they were pretty good, but you do have to work hard behind the scenes.

… the new exam though is combined National and International - and allegedly you can take your books in with you = but you still need to know where to find the answers.

I dont know anyone that has passed the latest course - but asking questions on here is a great way of understanding the rules in practical circumstances.

What part of the country are you in?
To do home study takes plenty of determimation. you must be able to have quiet time and be the sort of person who can retain the written word.

Doing the course imo is the best way as you learn off the group and you get to ask questions. The courses can run anytime of the year and the examsrun 4 times a year. The most succesful course I have seen has been 2 days a week for four weeks up to the exam. This allows plenty of time for the grey matter to soak up the knowledge.

Books can be used in the case study only. The multi choice can be done on a computer with an instant result and if you fail you can re sit the exam.

Hope this helps.
