My cpc isnt due untill dec 2024. I already have 14 hours towards my next one from an adr cource i did in 2020 and i am booked in to do another 7 at the end of this month.
Question is i have a chance i think of doing the whole lot (full 35 hours) for free what will happen to the 21 hours i will already of accrued come the end of dec 2024. will it simply be a case of in dec 24 i will have 21 hours towards its renwal in 2029 or will things expire before that?

Each 7 hours is valid for 5 years so if not converted into a DQC within that 5 years then you lose it
Although my card is valid until 2024, I did another 35hrs online during lockdown #1, these have been banked (and currently show on my DCPC online account) and will count towards the next card in 2029> So I effectively didn’t have to start doing anymore dcpc for 9 years (now 7yrs). The 5yrs after 2029 should see me into retirement
I think when your card is due for renewal, you need to have 5 modules dated within the last 5 years. If you do excessive modules before your current card runs out, then possibly when your next card is due for renewal, some of these may be out of date.
From personal experience I have received a CPC card early (with expiry date maintained five years after previous issue), but the DVSA may have checked that all the modules would be valid at the point of expiry, if you see what I mean.
