Hello,
I have done PCV CPC over 4 years ago, to be completely honest, didn’t make me better driver at all. ONLY thing which makes you better on a road is EXPERIENCE. CPC is “money making machine” for Government after all! I don’t need to be told what to eat for breakfast to stay slim, how to look for “unwanted passengers” at lay bay somewhere abroad.
CPC is nothing more then common sense! I know, many drivers don’t know what it is and that why those who know have to pay for it. Aspects like securing a load should be told on a driving course! Those people who don’t need CPC and have LGV licence, how they should know this?!
I don’t want to pay for something which, in my opinion, is unnecessary piece of plastic which need to be carry with you when on a road!
DSA told me that PCV and LGV CPC are two different things, so why all of drivers who had LGV and PCV on their licence get both CPC automatically when they done one? What is a difference between those who had both, LGV and PCV to these who just done it, one or another?
Please don’t get me wrong, I understand that for driving schools, CPC is another thing where money can be made but as we ALL, drivers and schools, no one “sleeps on money” anymore! Is bad enough to spend £1k for licence which can’t use in commercial world.
Will try to call my driving school and ask if they will lend me a track for test only.
I’m sorry if my post will be difficult to read or grammar incorrect!

I’ve just agree with me driving school for £127 included test fee and VAT for module 4 test. This is not to bad, I think.
