You would need a crane course that has been approved for dcpc and I have never seen one yet …

could call these - drivercpcgroup.com/cpc-course-dates.html

so you can spend 7 hours talking about manual lifting for you dcpc but cant get it any credit for knowing how to use a vehicle mounted crane the whole thing stinks if you ask me

Hi Terryturf,

There are a number of training companies that have their lorry loader (HIAB) courses accredited for DCPC.

As a possible solution to the conflicts you’re experiencing, I’d suggest that you phone the providers of HIAB courses one after another and ask whether they’ve had their HIAB course accredited for DCPC.

In my experience, the fact that you’re finding the info to be conflicting is usually due to people thinking that DCPC accreditation for any given course is automatic, which it isn’t.
Accreditation for DCPC involves the course provider in additional expense over and above the accreditation fees to the awarding body for the ‘normal’ qualification.

If you think about it, there has to be two possible prices for a ‘usable’ qualification that’s also accredited for DCPC, because there will be those people who need the qualification, but don’t want/need the DCPC element.
It then stands to reason that if you need the HIAB licence with DCPC, then that’s going to be more expensive and possibly a little more difficult to find.

According to their website they still charge £43 inclusive of upload fee, they run courses at weekends to.

I doubt you’ll find cheaper than that anywhere.
