Crinage Transport Ryton.
Biddle and Wade Ryton.
Elkins Trasnport
Capels Transport
I knew Paul Martin well and I was probably the first person to drive for him, although he only had a 35cwt Vw at the time, what happened to him, a friend of mine from Banbury drove for him at one time John Jones, who later went on the invent some door type crook lock for windows, can’t remember the name of it now?
I remember that van he had, I think it was an Iveco and it was like a mini tilt wasn’t it. He shared the yard with Crinage who I worked for. Have no idea what happened to him, I know after a few years he ended up with a couple of big rigids and artics.

Hello Ron, no it was a VW flat back this would have been 1980, I think he ended up with about 10 artics mostly doing France that would have been around 97/98.
did paul martin sell out to gefco i remember them being at the back swifts warehouse in siskin drive i think we got a unit from them when they went for our workshops

One of John Pratt’s (Coventry Continentale) transcons that I went in, for a bus mans holiday, with Eddie Carrol driving to Frankfurt
Good pics John, how did you manage to get a Buffalo, were you based at Banbury? for a while, Eddie Carrol was married to my next door neighbour who later went on to live with Mr Pratt. I’m sure you know who I mean.
