Coupling-uncoupling on test

Hi just a quick Question, can anyone tell me what year Coupling un-coupling came in as part of your Driving test for Class1?

in 1990 when I first attempted class 1 it was just questions on coupling, in 2000 when I did class 2 you actually had to do it, so it was sometime in that decade. I’m sure someone will give you an exact date

IIRC there were a number of changes in 1997. Maybe this was one of them? There was an intermediate stage where the prime mover/unit was simply driven forward in line. Cant recall when the change came in to park it at the side of the trailer.
