Couple of random questions

Going on a 3.5t van job next Monday and was wondering what the normal process is with refuelling when with an agency, I.e. use my own credit card?

Also got an assessment drive at enterprise next week and I believe their vehicles are auto’s. Is this the same as an automatic car I.e. no clutch? Sorry if this seems stupid but I know some are ‘semi auto’.

Many thanks

Auto generally same in any vehicle
Semi auto generally same in any vehicle

Company that own the vehicle supply the means to get fuel etc - USE YOUR OWN DOSH AT YOUR PERIL

Cheers Rog. Probably worth not using my own then haha. Should I ask before I leave then
what the process is?

Any reputable company will either have fuel cards or if its on local work then they’ll either fuel up at base or have an account with a local fuel station. Don’t use your own money unless you’re pretty sure you’ll get it back, I have used my own card when working permanently for a company, but only when really stuck finding somewhere that would take the fuel card and I knew 100% I would be paid back.

Auto are pretty much the same to drive, that is no clutch. But unlike older auto cars it’s unlikely that it will be a torque converter, more likely to be a normal gearbox, but electronics selecting the gears and operating the clutch. They may even have a manual mode although it can be disabled by manufactures at owners request.
