Could have come up with a better excuse

What are these drivers thinking about eh?
These poor council officials (and locals) are …‘‘being blighted’’ (apparently. )
Leaving their vehicles unattended, …and pitching their tents to ‘‘camp out’’
I agree with the council, ban parking…
Bloody trucks and their drivers. :imp:

thenorthernecho.co.uk/news/ … -problems/
It does not list these ‘‘persistent issues of health and safety and anti social behaviour’’ is it drivers… or maybe boy racers and the like.
Sounds a hell of a lot like the usual NIMBY situation myself, but who knows.

Read the article it says the land will be repurposed as parking for the council offices. And the public.
Thats why they want the trucks.out.
So the poor councilers can park outside there front door free of charge.
I mean we can’t have councelers walking from.a local carpark to the office everyday can we

Is the overnight camping the drivers sleeping in thier lorries or is it the caravan brigade

I did see that tbh, getting their priorities right eh? :unamused:
Why can they not just be honest instead of coming up with some pure bull crap to justify their usual policies towards truck parking…ie could not GAF .about it.

Very vague on detail.
“Unattended vehicles”? Driver gone to shops or pub? Or dropped trailers as it`s used as a swop site?
“Health and Safety” “Antisocial behaviour”? ■■■■■■■ in view of passers by? Are there toilets there? Worse than ■■■■?

Could be abuse by a few sods messing it up for all, or a weak excuse.

Nah, usually the roll the red carpet out for 'em so it’s definitely the filthy lorry drivers!

if its that free lorry park outside of ineos, then i cant see it being a big hardship to truckers Theres no facilities and a bit of a walk to the nearest pub if memory serves me right it isn’t that big

Sir you’re forgetting it’s not only every day but also every night after work they have to walk back to the car park and no we can’t have that - think about all the violence against women (most council workers are female) that would might will no doubt be committed on a large scale. You’re suggesting that this is acceptable, are you?

Maybe so maybe not., it depends whether or not you use it regularly as a handy place to stay for your next drop or whatever.
Way I see it is given the absolute chronic and ■■■■ poor parking availability for overnight parking nowadays compared to past times, .ANYWHERE that closes down is a ■■■■
‘‘hardship’’.

looks like its the new entrance to a caravan park - I see a circle of caravans in the field behind on Google maps and not much of a way in so out with the trucks in in with more wobble boxes . Of course they will need a shower / toilet block / shop , offices etc .
