Correct rate on over time bank holiday

Me and a colleague are perplexed. Bank holidays only.

If your flat rate is 9.00 per hour
And bank holidays is double, taking it to 18 per hour.

If you are offered over time on bank holiday is the 18 per hour doubled again and paid at 36 per hour.

This is what is written in my contract.

There is a single rate of time-and-a-half for all overtime, and double time on Bank Holidays.

Or am I thick

if your ot rate is 18 don’t expect any more unless it states bh ot
some places do BH rate + day in loo
Safeway had drivers in on an OT BH rate that worked out the driver was on 400 notes .
I think some of the old contract boys at our place are on much the same rate… they earn almost a weeks wage in a day.

Thanks … So that clears that up… I’m thick
