Corley Msa . M 6 . New coffee machines

Inside the Shell garage they have two new vending machines that are much cheaper than the prices in the main building.
The Cortado is £1.99 , compared to £ 3.69 in the main building as Costalotta need a mortage to buy one.

What the heck is a cortado ■■? If it’s a coffee, which one of the two types that I know of ( black or white ) is it ?
2 quid for a coffee out of a vending machine ? I don’t think so thanks. :open_mouth:
Regards. John.

Cortado is short in Spanish, two expressos.Small but strong.

Ah! I see,not in the least bit pretencious then ?..

Is that one of the new Nescafé machines Toby? You have to place the cup inside the machine and it spins round and does fancy stuff whilst making your coffee , it might be 1.99 cheap compared to Costa machines but a large is about the size of an espresso cup :unamused: :grimacing:

The ONLY place to drink cortado is in a Spanish speaking country. Only they can make it properly, and trust me once you’ve had one you will be converted.

I can’t imagine a grey, dreary and dismal British MSA will convince you somehow.

Nescafé Gold, creamer, sugar (around 10p a Large Cup)
Cafe’ Viking.
Takes about 2 minutes to make & you don’t even have to leave the cab !
Forget your Costa Lotta or your Prat a Minger, they can keep their Tax Evading Expensive Poncy Drinks.

Glad I’m not the only one. My daughter tells me she had a BLACK FORREST MOCCA or some such concoction from a coffee shop the other day :open_mouth:

+2, never bought Costapacket or Starbursts overpriced coffe yet and never will.

The only time i ever have a bought coffee is via Greggs breakfast roll and drink deal, otherwise it’s a bloody DiY Tetley tea bag hot water out me flask and a dash of proper milk.

I reckon we could start a new club-
The CostaNotta Coffee Club.

Watch the trucks Q at the pumps for Derv while the coffee boys are on!!! lol

Was that you on the A46 between the A6 and the M1 Friday afternoon about 3 ish Tango Boy?

Starbuckets do a flat white, very strong, one of those, you could drive from Calais to Milan in one hit.
It was not long ago that Costafortune and Stirbux were shut at night.
Now they are open 24/7 which is handy for the double decker night drivers and early risers.
You pay more for the ambience of their premises, leather sofas are not cheap.

Nor are Tractor Units & you don’t have to mix with Knobhead Reps, glued to their phones talking waffle about that Big Sale they made because they flew up the motorway & around the roundabouts, cutting all those Nasty Lorry Drivers up, on the way. Lol.

I don’t think I am likely to be the same generation as your daughter, unless you are really, really, really old67, I’m nearly 55. :stuck_out_tongue:

A flat white is simply a coffee with milk, just regular milk not frothy stuff.

Nearly on page 2 on a Coffee Machine Post

Nice.
