Been called in by agency to do a shift from Coop Alfreton tonight, just wondering if anyone has or is working in there, and what it’s like.
Cheers

Long way to go for a nights work innit? i know 2 guys that work there steady number , mostly cages into shops but they do job and finish but they are full time…so tossing it off a bit mite not go down well if your after long hours.
Drove for an hour from Tamworth to start shift at 17.15. x2 store deliveries in a Rigid in Sheffield, back to yard to refuel at 22.00, debriefed and finished at 22.30.
All for 8 hours pay and £100 bonus. Happy Days.

Wow the Agency lads get easier runs than us that are employed by co-op I normally end up with 4 hits on my first run then come back for a second with another 2 hits on that. I must be working at the wrong depot.
Is that 8 hrs pay + £100 bonus if so whats the bonus for?
the bonus is for the travelling.the agency whos contract it is,will have to pay a penalty if they can
t cover the work…so when they get desperate…they offer cash bonuses
i was offered £130 on top of my wages for a shift last friday night.
Where do I sign ?
it`s not all milk and honey…trust me
Yeh the £100 is a bonus as was last minute and further to travel than usual.
I was fully prepared for a 12 hour stint, but obviously you’d take 8 hours pay for 5 anyday.
i did a 15 hour shift for them a couple of saturdays ago…collecting strawberries and cabbages from farms around shropshire.
here`s the truck i used
Unfortunately that MAN is a hire truck only, nice to drive, compared to the DAF yesterday I had, with over 1 million miles on it (like most of the 55 plates).
