Just do anything with it that you would do with chicken, for the same length of time.

If’n its a real wabbit and you don’t know the age - cutting it in half and counting the rings won’t work - then pretend its a hare and jug it…

Jugged Hare Recipe - you can omit or swap many of the ingredients

Port - guinness does fine
Onion - or leek or shallot
Allspice - or whatever
Bouquet Garni - or not
Blood of Wabbit - More guinness.

Roast it like a chicken,
then make a rabbit + onion + vegetable soup broth with the carcass and small remnants . yum yum

Might need another rabbit to go with it if there`s more than 2 of you for the meal , not exactly meaty little critters at the best of times.

If you do put 2 togther , keep them in seperate fridges or you`ll end up with 20 in 3wks

If you are not sure, send it here. I love wabbit, though never cooked one myself, but I would probably prepare it like Harry suggests, like chicken.

The G/F has one and I am slowly getting closer to the rabbit. I have already rechristened him Stew

That has got to be one of the best responses ever.

try putting it in a roasting tray with some truffle butter
season with some sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
place some onions and a small amount of garlic and cover
with baking foil , and slowly roast at 50or 75.c until cooked
make a sauce from the juices in the roasting tray,

well i had the rabbit and what a suprise …
firtsly the mrs would’nt eat it so i had it all myself …

i roasted it with a little olive oil sea salt and black pepper and its got a different flavour than i expected , i did’nt do anything special with it as i just wanted to try it … i’ve got to say tho its got an odd smell when its cooking but does taste good …

cheers chaps …

my wife has a rabbit, but I think it’ll have a fishy flavour to it!
