make up a leat from a pair of jump leads,to an aderson coupling, and connect the other end permenantly to a mega inverter…then buy a £29-99 microwave from asda…cab hop all you need to,so long as theres an Anderson coupling on the unit, your laughing.and it saves you buying a 24 volt microwave for £300 or whatever they cost now.depending on the weather, bung the leads in through the window,or inside the door.theres millions of grub that can be nuked, and you can boil your water for tea etc.if you ever blow anything up,or melt anything, remove Anderson plug, and hey presto…it wasn’t me boss…
I would not bother with an electric cooker in case of damaging the electrics.
Camping shops sell the cartridge gas cooker.
fdm:
Good point, running an inverter that can run a domestic kettle or oven will probably overload your average dashboard sockets…Mind you, gas cookers indoors are not exactly recommend either
Used gas cooker for many years without issue. Just common and vent when cooking.

I’ve never yet had a house without a gas cooker inside. … Outside not very popular, especially in the winter.
As long as you’re sensible, there’s not an issue.
I’ve two of the wee £10 blue single ring gas cookers out of Halfords,
how often do you guys change the aerosol gas cannisters
I only really cook a bit of pasta/rice on mine in pot then stir fry some chicken/beef/pork in frying pan and mix the two,
seem to only be able to cook two meals approx and cannister needs changing
A little more than once a week depending on the menu, lots of coffee though.
Have noticed the gas can differ in quality.

I got a dozen of the light blue “Campingaz” cylinders out of Argos on a good deal,
seen the black gas aerosol cylinders about,
are they better lasting
