A few years ago I had the pleasure of working for 3 months almost non-stop on a job running some 70-80 foot boiler tubes from Hengelo inj Holland to the new power station in Avonmouth…Running with a mate we used to run empty to Hengelo… Load, collect the pilot car and run to Scheveningen for the NorfolkLine boat to Felixstowe, next day down to Avonmouth and sit for 2 days while the trailers were tipped… then back to Felixstowe to do it all over again…
