I have a question, I am finally going to Australia on my wifes 175 visa.
we are going to NSW … can my licence be converted as I am getting conflicting messages saying I must take my HR and MC once I get over as I will be of Perm Residence then my licence will only be vaild for 3 months then I have tosit the knowledge & driving test.

I was told that you can exchange the car entitlement of your licence but not your hgv entitlement.

Which is the same arrangement we have with them.
Discoman, I would advise you strongly to get some fork lift experience and you will probably have to take a fork lift test when you get over here, especially if you start delivering to the market’s. Good luck mate, it’s not easy at the beginning but it’s well worth it in the end.
