in my contract it states on a b/holidays ill be paid 78 pounds plus 11 pounds p.h ,when it came to paying it the company only paid the 11 p.h[didnt pay the 78 pounds , not sure why not,lots of different rumours].
told today there now going to pay the 78 pounds for that b/holiday but then issue us with a new contract stating youll only get the 11pounds p.h, not the 78 pounds.
is there a procedure for a new contract, do they have to give you notice or can they just change it as and when it suits them.ta

what it is ,is to do with your holiday entitlement if you normally work 5 days a week then you would have 5.6 weeks holiday or 28 days, B/holidays have to be given to you as part of those days and therefore not pay to for it the 78 pounds you got before was so that you did not have a day in hand.so basically it means that you have to have 28 day off in a year if you work 5 day week the company can pay you an enhance rate for the day but that’s all now
with regard you contract i think its counted as employment law now so there is no why around it
