just wondering, you lads that are running artics, what pays the best in the long run, steady contract work for a big firm or touting for anything and then cherry picking the best jobs?
on the same note is there so many artic loads advertissed because the rates for them loads are crap or is there actually more work than wagons to do it?
It is all according to how you want to operate, contract gives you a regular income and the relationship between you and the customer. “Cherry picking” is ok if there is enough good loads to pick from, but what if you cannot find the “cherry” ? few very few can afford to wait for the right load at the right price so I prefer to contract.
Each to their own
I agree with funnyfut…Unfortuneately (sp?) the bills dont wait for the decent loads either so get somthing that is regular
