Continental work

Ok guys and girls im really thinking well hopeing to go over the water because all the jobs i have gone for this week are offering silly money £5.50 a hour so how easy will it be to get a job to do continental work i have only 10 months exp and would really love to do this dont know if they double man or anything but i must be able to make more money surely and do you know any companies who will be willing to take me on.All replies will be more than welcome. Thanks coffeholics pics make me want to do it evev more now.

i would not assume that all continental work pays more than uk work. and thats if you can find a job in the first place.
there may be some decent jobs out there but if its good money your after then tesco,s or something similar springs to mind.
seriously though i wish you all the best in your search.
its in a truckers blood to travel and in different circumstances that could well be me driving down to italy

Brooksy I heard that RTH In Ryton are buying 2 x 6 leggers at the end of the month for Continental Work, and need drivers for them, dont know how right it is, but a phonecall would’nt cost much at local rate

Dont know what the wages are but it’s a foot on the ladder, Another Company I know is looking for a driver is Taxi Freight on Team Valley, mostly UK Work but they do get a few Continental Runs, I did 3 trips to Germany in March for them when they were short of a Driver Which is ussually the case as they are a small family firm with 4 trucks and only 3 drivers.

I just happened to be talking to Trish there this morning and she was saying they are looking for a full timer as Hubby has just had a knee operation and does’nt look like he can drive anymore.

Thanks davey will be on the phone asap

UK work is paying far more than continental work at the moment.
