Maritime certainly do have a depot there, but they will work you to within a minute of your legal hours every week!
.
They dont, more often than not they will actually hold you back to save on nights out and overtime, especially now that times are very quiet on the container front,i think it might be a different story on the curtainsiders for them as they seem to be undercutting everyone else and managing to get mountains of work.
I worked for them for a few years and iām still in contact with a lot of people who still work for them, nights out are at a premium at certain depots and so is the overtimeā¦everything legal though, good kit,but you get held back by red tape and over zealous planners who make their Christmas bonus out of cutting your nights out and overtime. ā¦I used to love it on there, but they have got bigger and bigger, more corporate, more and more rules and more rules and much less enjoyable to work for.
Ah rightā¦sounds like the same reasons why i left Elite. Went from 4 or 5 nights out a week to 1 if i was lucky!
All the Elite trucks from Thamesport now work from the yellow peril yard in Landor st. Brum. Most of them seem to be out all week.
Yep, they will be. They are on a separate contract, Evergreen. Always got 4 or 5 nights out. There were only 2 at Brum when i worked there.
