I’ve seen that vid, but it was years ago, so can’t remember much of it, I just follow others like in all ports :smiley:

Ahh, must be a different vid then, not been teesport since Roadways I think, might’ve been once when I was still on Maritime, but even there I finished 9mths ago.

Must make an effort to go up, was up North yesterday (Friday) but avoided Teesport.

Not sure Eddie, I think so, they are going to be ready the second week of January, brand new TGX :smiley: . I had one at Bibby and loved driving it, loads of room in them and a good sized fridge. I’ll look out for your XF, have a good Xmas lads and thanks for all your help and advice.

Been offered the job and I’m looking forward to it :smiley: . If any of you container guys see someone in an MAN TGX 440 looking lost in a container port it will be me :smiley: !!! It is White’s and it is linked with Elite, they are brothers. Thanks for all the advice guys it’s much appreciated. They sound like a good company to work for, low basic but a lot of tax free top ups, bit like what you get under an umbrella scheme but it isn’t. They are intalling the front facing in-cab cameras too which save me from buying one.

i’ve no doubt it will. i know they were on about it in nsf a while ago. it’ll be another card to add to the collection. been in twice today. in and out in 10 minutes. we pull mainly tanks out of nsf and tct1.

Would be a shame to see Elite go bust, some decent blokes there when i worked there…just a shame the management was crap!

No no far from theyve taken on a lot more trucks but there all connected in a way with elite themselves but no one has seen the work load increase so the more of these trucks that start people like myself are left wondering theres so many rumours flying around at the moment it seems to me like somethings got to give or go they cant surely work us all with there current volume of work

Container drivers here continue to be total idiots and ignorant to any laws of the road :open_mouth:
Yesterday alone I passed (on the inside) an idiot in a Columbia pulling a Container doing about 40mph in the middles lane of I-87 northbound which has a 65mp limit so passing on the inside was the only opton for getting by, he had the phone pressed firmly to his ear and just stared puzzled at me when I sounded the air horn and gave him the middle finger.

A guy driving an old cab over KW on the same road pulling … yep a container with a totally shreaded tyre, again in the middle lane but doing about 55 this time. When I shouted him on the CB and told him his tyre was destroyed he told me to mind my own business and f*** off. Trouble is he may actually cause the death of some innoceny person but these guys don’t seem to care. I see accidents on the NJ Pike and I-95 in CT usually involving a container driver who has been doing about 80 mph ro just driving dangerously and has taken out entire families. It’s no wonder DOT seem to selecy them above others for inspections.
