Container Traction

We do local container work and as far as I know we are paid by the job not the mile,if them mileage rates that’s been quoted were paid to us I think my gaffer would be bankrupt  ,some days I don’t do 100 mile.

It’s usually job rate for the local stuff and pence per mile for the distance stuff. The local stuff is generally more profitable.

that’s why i do locals

i used to pull for Maritime, doing the distance work, but, 5 years ago, left and joined the ranks of RCL, doing locals out of Tamworth

as Maritime have recently purchased RCL, i am now back subbing for Maritime, for now, anyway

to be fair, the local work with them pays pretty well, just don’t do the distance :open_mouth:

Greycourt in Liverpool have owner drivers. Some come & go, some been on for years. They do fuel cards, trailer hire, quick payment options and have plenty of work, a lot of it their own. Ask for Simon or Iain.
