Afternoon. As the title says really, looking at a change from current work. (Aggregates) Never touched container work, understand there’s pros and cons in any job but is there any firms to avoid? Any info would be appreciated regarding wages and such and what the work involves in general. Will be popping my head in a few doors and sending cv’s off but any heads up is welcome.
i`m told that maritime seems to pay a decent wage, and decent tackle too…but some on T/N have so negative results too…a guy in Northfleet was offering £600 a week take home for container work a while back ( no info sorry 0 but that seems decent for just a driving job…seems you need a special card for dock work, which i think yu can get from the police office in the port, a registration of some kind( obvious in todays climate ) anyway check out a few agencies or Gumtree or whatever…i wish you luck.
