If you have the reg number then surly your insurance company will be able to assitain the drivers details?
Well it’s a Volvo and it is insured 
I didn’t see the reg, but don’t forget, a lot of drivers have different vehicles each day, which means a lot of vehicles have different drivers…
I’d get in touch with the company and demand payment, or get the police involved

If you’ve got his number plate, why not just ring the police?
He obviously didn’t think twice about giving you false details, with no intention to pay for the damage he’d done.
Just ring the police, tell them what’s happened, let them deal with it. I’m sure they’ll find the driver quicker than you do.

I’ve had that said to me when digger driver’s hit the bodysides, and customers want you to drive under tree branches etc.
It’s a load of crap I mean I ain’t in the league of that geezer with the customised scanias but I usually wash it down every night.
