Confusion over DVLA proceedures

hi everyone, i posted about this earlier but i must have done something wrong because the post didn’t take. so here goes again.

i am currently having to re-apply for my licence because of medical reasons. i had to surrender my licence to the DVLA and now i need to complete the forms to claim it back, the snagg is that the instructions for how you do it are really unclear and phoning the DVLA is out of the question because i can never get through.

i have a D1 form and a D2 form. does anyone know which of the two that i would need to send? or do i need to send both?

the photo needs to be replaced as well because it is over the 10 years.

If you are having trouble getting through on the phone try emailing the DVLA with you precise circumstances and personal details for a definitive answer.

I’m trying to reclaim car, m/cycle, class 2 and bus.

do you have an email address for the DVLA? I’ve hunted high and low and couldn’t find one so if you could post or pm that to me it would be much appreciated :slight_smile:
