Conference haul, fly by night , translux

anyone on here work for conference haul , fly by night or translux
just looking for all the usual wages , conditions etc etc

try and get hold of euromat he is on for transam and pretty sure he would know the score on this type of work

These type of companys normaly pay About £95 a day, then £40/£50 a day expenses. If you double man you get put in a hotel, on most companys anyway. if your employed as a working driver, your expected to Rig stages and de rig. They go to places that most general hauliers dont. Away for long periods. anything else pm me.

May sound a bit brutal but if you are worried about wages, start times, conditions etc I can tell you straight away it’s not the job for you.

Yes there will be good jobs with lots of extras money wise, and perks wise. But there will also be sleep measured in hours per week, there will be weeks and weeks of no work meaning no pay, and plenty hard enough just to get a start,

Its a industry you really must want to be in or would suit your working style.

Happy to answer any questions apart from specific wages per company as that’s not something I would like out there

Contract Options in Slough used to supply a lot of drivers to them, not sure if they’re still the agency dealing with them but if they are they’re one of the better agencies I’ve dealt with.

yes they will advertise to build thier driver supply up they have alot of polish drivers but pinewood shepperton only starting builds on sets for shooting in the summer at the moment i know i get the phone calls from drivers that have done thier sia licence looking for security work
but as i say to them if transport side is quiet than so am i also two major productions shelved begining of the year it has a knock on effect a lot of crew chasing little work

is that not foolish build up driver supply and no work
I know same as agency does but surely the driver supply they build up move on

Surely the thing to do is to call them up and see if they’ll actually got any work for starters…

Fixed, sarcastic bugger

I worked gor translux. The money was good. That’s about it. Trucks are crap. Your treated like crapyou will be spoken to like your something they scrapped of there boot. The heads of department will treat you like crap and will demand that you drive even though the vehicles has defects. The two in charge of drivers one got his job because he stopped to help after the owners wife was in an accident the other was because she owns horses and sometimes had to move them. Neither have any transport experience. Avoid at all costs. Not sure about other company’s I know a few guys at lays and they are very happy at lays same as movie makers.
