Why are most of them lhd ?
Edit
In the UK
Built by German and Austrian engineering companies I think.
Built by a company that wants to save costs as in Europe everyone is lhd. My guess is that they don’t sell enough to warrant doing a rhd version.
I was told by a driver of one who nearly knocked my mirror off that they are easier to sell if they are LHD.
Most, if not all the ones I have noticed are built in Germany and fitted to chassis over there before being imported.

This^^
Same reason as Renault not doing the RHD version of the new Magnum.
German Engineering!! Any thing out of ordinary = Call Germans !!
Most of the bigger stuff is italian. Its a shame as the german stuff is alot better.
I cant see how its worth it though, buying cheap i mean, a sermac/cifa lasts half the time as a putzmeister/liebherr and spents half its time in the workshop instead of out earning its keep. But when it comes time to replace it they buy another cheap piece of crap.
Thanks for the replies.
Suppose that makes economical sense if they don"t sell that many over here.
Years ago you would only see one, once in a blue moon(usually a 4 wheeler on a Merc 1619 chassis)
Have noticed more than a few 4 and 5 axle variants lately.
They are obviously fitted at the factory and there are no franchises/dealers that fit them in the UK.

I think Shaylers still have one on an SK chassis.
We use riellys pumps they seem to have taken over pochins , most if not all their pumps are lhd .their newer one’s are Italian pumps on merc chassis
That should have read reillys ,my mistake
