Theres a 310 remote Fassi in our yard on a rigid, I don’t know of it being problematic but some of the others have had sensor troubles & I’ve heard of a few Fassi cranes having new software put on to them. My mate who owns the trucks reckons they’re much better than the PM cranes they replaced. I prefered the Bonfiglioli cranes myself they seemed idiot proof & no fan-dangled wiring etc. But the world seems to love computers so I guess we’re just stuck with new over computed cranes now.

Fly sheet

Like most things with Italian electrics the Fassi and the PM can be pretty temperamental.
Mine can go for weeks with no problems and then you get a day with the thing lit up like a bloody christmas tree with warning lights, error codes and shut downs. Usually a reset solves the problems but occasionally you need to work on the over ride for a while until the error clears itself.
A couple of problems recently on mine have required new sensors and unfortunately these are dealer parts only and a bloody fortune .
If as you say the crane is still quite new it is possible the computer software is needing updated , it’s not uncommon for a new crane to go on the road without the latest software updates .This is a dealer problem and should be done under waranty.
The other thing to bear in mind is that all modern cranes are now screwed way down , a new 32mt ton will lift nowhere near what a 5 year old 32mt ton will lift.
Good luck mate .
Who are you driving for ■■

could be worse you could have a Copma

our 50t/m is usesless , the computers been replaced once, and 6 sensors in the past 18 months, and dont start me on the remote control thats got the levers in the reverse order to the manual ones on the side

yet the little 14t/m hiab on my 18 tonner is spot on and is a delight to use

Thanx for replies, found the problem, a module on one of the arms was nae workin, somink to do with software + a new download was required. It seems all new hi-abs now are computerised due to health and safety laws from brussels. Never realised before a hi-ab needed a computer  Cheers

on the fassi if you lift the cover off, they will be a screw with a metal tag(so they know if u took it off  ) pull the tag off and turn the screw and any warnings can be overridden till you can get it fixed… this helps if the crane is in the air and stops working.
