For me I wear a mask, yes it’s not 100% effective but it stops the full force of the virus going up my nose. It’s my choice, hopefully it stop me carry it back to my family.
What other people do is up to them, I carnt say who right or wrong not even the scientists can agree. So what chance has the so called experts on here getting it right.
Think it’s the case of agreeing to disagree.
Consensus of scientific opinion is that masks do indeed mitigate the risk

As Monkey has said, most current medical advice is that wearing masks is better than not.
Masks will help against you getting the virus, but they are best at stopping prove breathing out the virus, both into the air, but also onto surfaces.
Those who choose not to wear masks are not just affecting their own chance of getting the bug, they are also making it worse for others. That I think is the point. Their choice affects the safety of me, (I’m fairly fit so not bothered) and others who are vulnerable.
The more the virus is spread, even among strong people, the more chance it has to multiply and mutate.
The more it reproduces the more varieties there are, do the more chance there is of a worse one occurring.
Not wearing a mask is worse for many (even if not the person refusing) and eally isn’t such a problem in my view.
.
.
We have had for decades laws that say we must wear seatbelts or crash helmets. That only affects the health of those asked to wear them.
Not such a fuss about that is there?
A 3 minute video, a 94 year old Jew who survived the holocaust speaks of how gradual dehumanising of his people started, one or two here might benefit from watching this and then take another look at themselves.

You know what mate?..It’s getting to the stage where I do a Winseer approach at reading your posts, same old same old.
Question…if your mask is protecting you, how if I meet you and I ain’t wearing a one, is it affecting you ?
Surely only if we were both maskless (is that a word) you would get the the dreaded lurgy that you fear so much.
Have a look at your set of Covid encyclopedias to see what the written word is on that one… .it must be true because you read it.

I agree with everything Juddian has said with his recent posts.
Also may i add that if anyone wants to see free speech and grown up debates on this issue on mainstream media then i suggest listening to TalkRadio. This channel is the only place you will get mainstream “journalists” challenging the ever increasing tyrannical measures imposed against the public.
As Juddian said, never ever will i have a covid vaccine, even if it meant losing my home and job.
As for the mask, just say you’re exempt and no-one can question you about it
Last sentence…technically incorrect.

Yes technically incorrect if you are a police officer, as you can assault and falsely imprison with impunity.
For those of us that are not fascist thugs, the equalities act 2010 provides protection from being challenged over the many reasons for exemption, for which you do not need to provide evidence of, and you are liable to civil prosecution if challenging a person’s declaration of lawful exemption.
Again…incorrect.
'Course if you’re genuinely exempt it isn’t an issue.
But for liars and scrotes it can be.
It’s ironic that you hide behind the law whilst advocating breaking it.
It’s very simple though …call a police officer if said scrote claims exemption and let them prove it.

Goes on about ‘liars and scrotes’,then wants to go crying to the police like a ‘grass’,some despicable people posting on here

Like a grass?
The despicable one is the one who thinks upholding the law is grassing.
Folk like you probably wouldn’t have squealed on Saville.

Can you articulate this dehumanising or are you simply painting yourself as a victim?

You still haven’t grasped the purpose of a mask ffs.
The mask is to stop YOU infecting people not protect me from your infection.
I know this is a difficult concept but it has been patiently explained at least a couple of times
That suggests you have very preconceived notions and that you’re arguing your stance from ignorance.
Franglais may be ■■■■ about this .but at least he researches the topic

Aye and like you believes all that he reads .
So the mask stops my potential germs getting out to protect you, but lthe same mask potentially let’s other germs in from people not wearing a mask…a bit like a one way street type mask.
Ok I get it now cheers
Get real ffs.
They are just telling you anything and you’re believing it.
Maybe you and Franglais ‘‘research the topic’’ too much eh?
Got some magic beans for sale if you know anybody, an ‘expert’ tells me they work fine.

Evidence that I believe all I read please?
I think govt has overreacted on occasion … and even outlined to you why. You seemed to grasp that.
As for the mask…it reduces droplets…
Less droplets to inhale…seems logical.
corij:
round my local area Felixstowe/Ipswich most are not bothering with wearing the masks this time around ,especially staff in shops .
Thankfully a lot more people are seeing it for the farce that it is, obviously there’s still the terminally gullible though that even 2 years on the penny still hasn’t dropped

Evidence?..We aint in a court of law ffs.
Just a supposition or an assumption.
The assumption being that unless you are some kind of Covid specialist, (as Franglais seems to think he is )you must have read it somewhere, believed it, and repeated it
Yeh I do have problems '‘grasping’ things, same as I have a problem with someone trying to patronise…just saying…

No…we ain’t (sic) but evidence is required to make a point - if its to be taken seriously [emoji6]
Me? Patronise you? As you say, that’s your problem.
It’s all in the perception. I don’t so much patronise you as seek to encourage you to use the lump of gristle between your ears. For example, by encouraging you to engage in rational debate by illustrating your points with evidence. Even assumptions need evidence. Or do you simply work off feelings?
^^^^^^^^^^
Jeez H Christ man,.and I thought I was self confident.
Seriously mate, you take conceit to another level … is this the result of, or negative after effects of Police training or are you just supercilious by nature.
Just asking.
