Completed 3 day induction new job

 still smiling at my new job class 2 hiab at building supplies. just finished 3 day induction which is manatory here. i was paired with another driver with conciderable experience with the hiab. day 1. shown how to complete daily vehicle checks the company way. present where my assessor and the fleet mechanic / fitter.i was shown the workings of the hiab and safety precautions. then its on the road with my assessor, full load of 14 ton to drop. the hiab is very sensative and is a front loader with side operation levers. brings a whole new meaning to crane your neck. All drops complete no damage to the wagon or loads.
Day 2. out we go again different loads inc timber and brick, using strops correctly . more company procedurs to complete correctly. all ok.
day 3 last day with assesor he has filled in the induction report and handed to MD. report states i am a safe and carefull driver. competant in use of hiab and continually improving. as of tomorrow i am solo. got my load on tonight and away tomorow. i really enjoy this work and the other drivers are a good craic. will keep you all posted. thanks. :sunglasses:

Well done!!! Glad your enjoying it as much as you hoped. What areas have you been working?

If your not using your class 1 licence can I borrow it please…

That should be the norm rather than ecceptional,Expecting people to know how to use complicated tackle is just plain stupid.

Hi Brian, Nice one mate, and I’m glad you’re enjoying the work.

Shall we watch this space for a picture diary?

absolutly guys. thanks for support. i’ve been all over, from staleybridge and altringham to chester and the wirral. As the wagon i am driving is the biggest with the largest payload capacity of 14 ton and it is always fully loaded.
Had a good solo day today. full load 1st drop kirkdale, then over to the wirral into gayton now empty. so its up to chester to collect 10 lenghs of timber and back to moreton to collect 13.5 tone of concrete fence panels and posts. cos its now 12.15 and been working from 0800 now due tacho break so 1 hour dins at b+q bidston then back to yard to tip. all quiet for the afternoon so got loaded for tomorrow and then sat off re-arranging my cab to my liking. a few brews and home. :sunglasses:

i fully agree, the pearls of wisdom i have gathered in a week are enormous. my assessor is a highly skilled individual who has shown me new ways and perspectives i did not know. the company is joseph parr and is committed to deliver a proffessional service.
