Compensated hours

Hi guys had a letter from boss stating if we have to get stood down to compensate the Web worth hours we won’t get paid even though we are salaried !is this legal ?.

Your salary will be £x for so many hours a year, say 2600 which works out at 50hrs a week. When you’ve done those then if you’re not at work they don’t have to pay you.

If your salary is £x per week regardless of what you work and you can’t work because they’ve exceeded the WTD 17/26 week reference period due to their planning then they have to pay you.

I guess this is a place where they plan your work to max the hours that you work? And you are salaried?
