The haulage was out to contract TNT when I go a job there work was easy 13 weeks temp to permanent this was about 2000. Snotty ■■■■ on the gate had the hump because I had a Porsche at the time and it wasn’t taxed ( yeh I know all fur coat and n knickers ) so after about a week he refused to let me park in the car park because untaxed so told him to stuff the job and told him to tell them why and went home lol. Got a call a few hours later asking why I wasn’t in …they went nuts at him
I went for an interview and saw forklifts drivers in hardhats lol. Place seemed like health and safety well over the top.

Yep health and safety mad . Also delivered oil into there was a pain also . I think they have a new access road last time I went you had to go in thru the houses

your going back some yrs. i was on TNT then we were contracted to comma/esso we lost that contract to Christian Salvesen in 2001.
That new access road off the roundabout was a godsend when it went in about 2002.
they had planning permission for yrs but couldn’t be done due to the travellers living over the back
The old access as you say through the houses was a bloody nightmare def with the chippy on the top corner.

Yes thinking about it was about 98 lol was a pain if someone parked on the corner . That chippy still looks as mankey as ever tho . I’m sure the traveller site is still there. The firm I was working for a couple of years ago looked at buying the land behind comma but the traveller camp put them off .
