Colnrook bypass cafe/truck stop

Anyone ever stayed on there, first time on here, just wondering how safe it is.
It’s cheap enough £10. That’s not bad for London!

do you mean the one on the right, if you were heading london bound■■?

if so, i stopped there overnight once, proper old fashioned cafe/overnight stop.
food and drink were decent enough, and never had any issue with security.
can’t comment on showers or the like, as had sorted that earlier in the day.
i’d gladly stop there again.
peppermint penguin down the road if you like that sort of thing :grimacing:

good food friendly staff
but never parked

but got to be better than a layby

foods good, parkings ok never had a problem there :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses:

Is that the one that used to be called Jock’s Cafe or is it the one nearer heathrow?.

good food, but if you park with your back to the field, you may attract visitors

Is “Jocks” still going ? . . havent been that way for a while, would imagine op stopped at the Riverside?

Passed by it loads of times always thought the restaurant closed early as in 6/7 pm
never seen security at it
although around that area lot of fly tipping and thats never a good sign :unamused:

The “Waterside Cafe” iirc. It used to be possible to walk through the hedge at the back, into the village (Colnbrook i suppose). There’s a pub and shop etc. I still stop there from time to time, only for grub though.

Is that the one up the road from spearmint rhino?

thats the one bigtruck
