Cold snap coming - North and East UK

With the news that it’s going to be cold next week, and forcasts of heavy snow… time to get people to offer advice on how to cope with it.

I’d add:
Always try and keep your tank topped up with fuel, so that if you do get stuck, you can keep warm.

think i had better stock up on some essential kit for the comoing weeks by the sound of things.plenty drinks (hot) extra food just incase

It’s minus 25f here tonight, thats 57 degrees below freezing, we have had constant lake effect snow all week and you talk of a “cold snap”

Yes Pat, but we’re British and in Britain. Here at home is the one place we can’t cope with any bad weather at all. Funny that.

Conquer half the globe against impossible conditions, and when we get home after beating all the artci could throw at us, one snow flurry and the country grinds to a halt.
