Tunnel at Tende was another alternative running from south coast France to Torino, but the tunnel was always tight and there are 3.5m? barriers now. Previously it had traffic lights for one way working for trucks, but allowed two way for cars. Trucks in center of road, and cars squeezing along the wall. Really narrow arched tunnel. Only did it the once before the ht limit was dropped. I think the road over the top there has a 3.5 t limit? Probably fun with a car or bike in the summer.
