Tipping there Monday morning. Not been before. Only yo Brackmills in Northampton. Anything I need to know? Are they quick or slow because I’ve got another drop in Romford timed after it?

In my experience they can be very quick and they can be very slow. It’s a case of pot luck on the day really.

Last time I was there, the site redevelopment was in full swing. Queue outside on the main road regularly back to the roundabout. Security so slow you could sow weed and harvest during booking in time. Security needed to count the pallets on your way out (but that was when loading product. Otherwise just open doors I think), so fastening curtains at exit.

Don’t show up to early. Unless the queue is out on the road, when it can take an hour, hour and half to get to the gate.

To be fair, tipping should be quick. Loading is another story, the monkeys that are employed there are either stupid, or belligerent, or both…

Anyone remember…

The days when you just turned up at the address, joined the queue or got tipped straight away?

Cheers for the input chaps. Is it a wait in a waiting room whike tipping kind of affair?

No, stay in the cab and they plonk a stop sign in front of it with the fork lift truck before they start.

At Edmunton they give you a pager that buzz when come in to load.
Didn’t rely on that.
Give security your cab phone to call you in to load.

Depends what you have on i guess. As i was delivering glass bottles. So had to be on the trailer to remove the straps that are crossed and fed through the bottom of the top pallets.Must of struck it lucky as i went straight in.Tipped and out within the hour.

Some.sort of syrup by the looks of it. I tend not to care what I’m carrying, I’m just interested in weights and stability of whatever it is because whatever it is can vary wildly from a church organ to industrial machinery to empty plastic bags etc etc. It’s all just stuff to me lol
