Coca cola Edmonton route please!

You can come up the 1055 from the north circular - but be aware that this road’s entrance at “Conduit Lane” is sometimes closed at night for roadworks, like the Fore Street Tunnel nearby.

Coming down Mollison Avenue (first left after leaving the M25, and taking the A10 towards Edmonton) takes you past some 16.5t/7.5t signs.

You only have to see the sheer number of other artics coming and going along this stretch of road (Especially Iceland and Fedex) to realize that what the local authorities are actually try to do here - is discourage HGV traffic from using the A1055 as some kind of rat-run to the A406 from the M25…

On occasions where J25 of the M25 is closed for any reason - HGV traffic for the M25 is turned up through Waltham Cross to use J26 instead - the diversion going up another road with an apparent “weight restriction” on it.

Lorry ban? lol, I’ve been driving through London for years, for several companies, and not even considered lorries being banned (apart from weight restrictions), and never had a ticket or anything. There’s lorries everywhere at all hours.

The other night I was tempted to come in from the M1 down the A1, over Blackfriar’s bridge, through to the Elephant and Castle, and pick up the A23 to Croydon, literally going from top to bottom through London in the early hours. Am I to assume this isn’t allowed due to some ban?

Is those signs you see (or don’t) that have that odd 16.5T restriction then a list of times. If you’re on that road after said time then your company might might get a fine as our lot found out. Once you get off the A406 at Ealing Common you’re straight into said ban zone and we have no permit that I know of. We were driving in before 6am to get to Ealing Broadway shopping centre for months. One day the office got all the collected fines at once.

so what happened next? did you appeal?
