Cobelfret Rotterdam-Purfleet

I’ve started using this crossing once or twice a week. I love it, a beautifully clean boat, friendly crew, good free food, a a cabin to yourself, some interesting views at either end of the sailing and a good long lie-in in the morning.

Does anyone else ever use it?

We used Cobelfret to Killingholme quite often, lovely clean boats, do they still ask you to wear slippers or stocking feet in the lounge?

Yes, they do though I don’t mind that at all. I think the only fault I could find is that you can’t get duty-frees, I know it is a freight ferry but similar ferries I have been on have had a bond where you could buy bits and bobs.

I think that got abbused on the killinghome and immingham boats, then it stopped. I normally stop off and get a bottle of wine to go with my dinner and save the beers for the TV or Videos later

I’ve been on it when I worked for H&S Transport (they seemed to like the less than ordinary ferry routes). The boat was just how you described it Harry but the trip took that long that I felt that I had been Press Ganged into the Merchant Navy.
