Coach drivers and tacho regs,

do they have to comply with the sames one as us

i ask as my in laws have just come back from a xmas break in manchester and they got talking to the driver on the way up there. the driver said according to them he had, had a very long day leaving essex at 3:30am, and did not have his first break till blyth services at 12:30pm which he said to them was his first one which had to be 45 mins, he then drove from there all the way to manchester.

when they mentioned that to me about the driver saying he’d had a very long day i thought those hours seemed rather long but may be not as its a coach not a truck

on the way home bus left manchester at 10am, he got to my bus station at 7:30pm and as i was picking them up and he still had a drive down to essex :exclamation: , i also pointed out to him he had a head light out which he seemed unware of :exclamation:

he just seemed to be doing long hours to me
