Coach driver

On the A419 this morning and a coach came hurtling up on the outside tailgating a van,the van put his indicator on to turn right and the coach driver braked heavily and veered towards my wagon, then went back to his lane and braked even more heavily until mr van driver turned right,he then floored it cut in front of me and followed a brit european lorry carrying brand new MAN units,he was right on the other wagons rear like the van and again kept braking cos he was too close,he followed this hgv all the way through cricklade (i was following at a safe distance) until he stopped at the bus stop just outside the village, the worst part is he had schoolchildren on board and was picking up more,i’m not saying hgv drivers are perfect but to drive like a lunatic with children on board is unbelievable,on the back of his coach was WILLIAMS F1,quite appropriate really considering the way he was driving

True

Many on school work hate doing the jobs and drive like total idiots .
We had one locally who upset the wrong person on the afternoon run who had a dash cam .
The footage was sent to the coach company along with the termination of their contract .
This was a company that then had to lay other drivers off as the schools contract was a big part of their regular work . It turned out that this was one of many complaints including several from students .

Many years ago when i was still in the UK i did a few runs for my neighbour to help out who ran a small fleet of coaches and minibuses. I used to drive the 8 seater minibuses on school runs. The schedules were a tear arse dash around trying to pick the kids up on time all who lived out in the sticks of Norfolk. Once was asked to pick up two extra bearing in mind it being an 8 seater, the other drivers do it i was told, the kids just sit on the floor! I refused and didnt do any more work there. It was only a matter of months before all their school work was terminated, i really wasnt surprised :unamused: Some of the buses were VW Caravelles which were nice but they also had a load of welded up and rusty Leylands. Took one out one day and the steering was like piloting a boat and one of the kids commented one day ’ look , i can see the wheel going round’ yes…a big hole in the floor!
It wouldnt matter if i name the company as theyre long defunct…Sovereign Travel Norwich…
