anybody used this copilot truck app is it any good ?
I tried it a while back. Thought it was ok. It takes a little bit of customisation before it’s the way you want it. I used it on a spare phone and used my main phone as a WiFi Hotspot for it. There was one time it did actually dig me out a hole. Was heading to Tesco Avonmouth and there was huge traffic jams and it pre warned me and rerouted me a way google maps wasn’t even suggesting.
Isn’t there a free trial?

The issue with using things like sat nav apps on your phone is screen burn in. I had a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and Google Maps ruined the AMOLED Screen on it. So if you have a fancy phone with an OLED Screen I would swerve it. I’m using a cheap Honor Play phone with a cheaper screen that doesn’t suffer from burn in.
I’ve been using it for about a month and it’s never been off, takes a bit of getting used to but works well once you know how

If you have your phone on the windscreen, using it as a satnav, and you decide to run a dashcam app in the background (which is tempting, as it does work great)… that’s a real killer too. That’s a LOT of CPU utilisation (heat) and memory IO cycles, memory only having so many I/O before it fails, plus the heat from charging the phone constantly and it being exposed to direct sunlight in the windscreen… I went through two Samsung phones in warranty and the third died shortly after 
They’re not built for that torture.
