It’s happening everywhere, it’s just dreadful.
December 10th 2010 is my last day of work for the Co-Op at Talke.
Looks like the dole for me with so many drivers out of work in the area, Stoke-on Trent has nothing to offer at the moment,
Bet in the new year its going to be worst as companies will have nowt to deliver

Why not travel the Lea Green its less than an hour from Stoke early morning starts Not much on the roads come back mid afternoon. Better than being out of work and its a job you know and they need drivers there tides you over while looking closer to home

I believe the Coop at Dudley Hill, Bradford has also recently closed.
Nowt but gloom and bloody doom

ive heard that the frozen depot at halesowen is to shut down to …is this true i worked there for 3 years …some good lads there

Yes haleowen is shutting down thats going into lea green at st helens as well, also the co-op are going to build a new warehouse at avonmouth and moving a few old warehouses into there co-op chelson is one somerfield at bridgewater is another there are some more going into that one as well,
Theres a new warehouse at andover hampshire opening late this year so all the co-ops and somerfield warehouses in the south will be moved into there and theres a new one opening in scotland this year so the same is happening there.
