just been offered a position as a cluster agency driver for manpower anyone have any experience of this ? as i’m still weighing up me options ? any responses wud be most appreciated

Manpower were looking in Stevenage 70 Class 2 driver and 40 Class 1 Driver
Excuse my ignorance, but what exactly does the term ‘cluster agency driver’ mean?
The only experience I have with Manpower is through my son who signed up with them late last year on a supposed ‘exclusive’ contract with Calor. They paid for his ‘bottled gas ADR’ and then he was supposed to start in January, having turned down other work at Manpower’s insistence that he be available to them. Then come January, it isn’t as cold as they expected & only a few drivers required, left the rest high & dry. He got to keep the polo shirts though.
i did abit of work with manpower on the cluster drivers malarky a few years back its either going to be jewsons or a n other builders merchants mostly class 2 hiab and upto 30 mile radius of where the office is
basically your on call to go anywhere when the office ring you up till 10 am chances are youl will get called out as
your on gauranted hours each week
and if your lucky u might be able to blag an extra £2 an hour out of them for fuel if its more than the distance you agree to cover

Now i got a Call telling me he will drive it.“Spell it to me” i ask him.Now well.
Dust card. Yep,they search at moment for St Albans and Watford too
£9.50 or so the Hour.Not bad for Class 2
